“Ogbukere Play with a masquerade character called Amunikoro surrounded by a male chorus. The mask represents a fish and consists of a long horizontal headdress carved in wood, painted in in differnt colours and adorned with plumes, coloured fringe, and two large fins in the centre. The costume consists of palm fronds around the neck and draped in cloth. The members of the chorus are wearing wrappers around the waist and are surrounding the masquerader. In the background is a large house and mud and thatched roofed buildings.”
