Golden Renaissance

Acclaimed for being the “golden renaissance" of modern, post-Biafran Igbo society, the 1970s was an era of dramatic change and cultural, political and economic revival for the Igbo which saw the birth of a wealth of new socio-cultural patterns, music styles, and political and intellectual movements that have grown to become definitive of the modern Igbo identity.
